In my last business, I barely had to use the phone…

…people just signed up online and came right in my door!

And I know how to bring people to you!

I started a martial arts and holistic health center that grew to become a local institution.

And I almost exclusively used digital content and online advertising copy to do it!

Years earlier, as financial advisor I won the award for being #1 in revenue for all first year advisors in the country within our company… 

…and I had to do almost all of my marketing and sales myself!

Before that, I was the primary salesperson for a small strip-mall startup martial arts school…

…which grew to become a thriving, 10,000 square foot martial arts center!

The reason I’m telling you all of this is so that when I say,

My Background: “Why I Can Help You…”

When I graduated from college with a BA in English and a minor in music, I had no idea what I wanted to do.

One day my martial arts instructor invited me to his house and asked me if I thought I would be good at sales. 

I answered “NO! I’d be terrible!”

But I was wrong!

You see, way back then I thought of sales as just trying to get someone to buy something that they didn’t need.

But through lots of time and experience, I discovered that truly great sales and marketing are really about helping people find what they’re looking for

…while also helping people’s businesses succeed!

What’s not good about that?

So luckily I wasn’t too dumb to say “yes”, and luckily my martial arts teacher is no dummy either.

Before long he was intensely studying the best copywriting, sales and marketing materials available.

And he was not only successfully applying all that he learned…

…he was teaching it to me!

Using effective sales and marketing (and giving excellent martial arts instruction!), we went from a little strip-mall martial arts school in North Carolina…

…to being a 10,000 foot facility and one of the top martial arts centers in the country!

Years later I decided to pursue a career in finance, and so I studied and tested and got my licenses to become a financial advisor with AEFA (now Ameriprise Financial). 

I already had so much experience in marketing and sales that I won the award for beating every other new first-year advisor in the country in revenue just six months after I started…

…having done almost all of my own sales and marketing!

But I really didn’t enjoy working in finance, so I decided to start my own business and go back to something that I knew I loved–martial arts!

By that time I had come to understand the power of digital content marketingso I harnessed it!

Before I had even moved to the city where I was going to open my business, I started working on my website and digital marketing.

By the time I opened my doors I already had a pipeline of people waiting for me, and in just a few months my martial arts and holistic health center was firmly established.  

For fifteen years I got better and better at writing digital marketing content.  

I even got to the point where I barely needed my phone any more…

…people just signed up online and came right in my door!

Then I realized that I was enjoying the writing and marketing more than running a brick-and-mortar business.

So now I write digital advertising copy and online marketing content…

…to save you time and help you get more business!

 

Search Engines AND Human Beings

 

You see, I realized that the key to attracting both Google and people was the same thing–WORDS!

But not just to any words, and not the same way.  

When I write digital advertising or content for you, I apply all of the principles of both great copywriting and correct keyword strategy.

Then I bring those together for you into truly effective Google or Facebook ads, blog posts, web pages, or articles…

…and that is no small task!

Both good copywriting and optimization are founded on the same thing–research, research, research!  

But not the same kind of research.

Copywriting takes marketing research and then optimization takes keyword research…

…and I have to use them together properly.

I do marketing research first, and then use that to do the keyword research.

That way the optimization actually helps bring you the right people!

Then I go a step further and provide you with the “off the page” copy.

These are the words that you don’t even see on the page but that have to be just right for optimum SEO.

Things like a recommended URL, title tags, description tags, H1, H2 copy, etc.
